Can often be seen accompanied by greenfly !

Rode a motor-cycle across Asia for charity.


 		 Jane Oliver Welsh speaking representative on the Committee.
Has been known to play other people's guitars when duetting with husband Derek and to break out into spontaneous dancing for no particular reason. 

Seen here with Linda Circus a recent recruit to the Committee who does a sterling job looking after membership records


 

 Marilynne Symonds

Club Secretary since the Hoy actually met
at The Hoy (and Helmet)!
Rather attached to Dave Symonds 
(she's the one in the middle)

   

Tony Prior

Chairman of the Committee,
occasional MC., singer/guitarist/song-writer,
One-time live performer of topical news
songs on BBC Essex .
Mike Jarvis
 

Long-standing committee Member
Writes the descriptions of forthcoming guests
as well as plastering the neighbourhood with posters.
Occasional MC. and permanent good egg.



 		 Tom Mayhew

Always starts the evening with his melodeon
and awful jokes from the Beano or Dandy !
Tom does a mean Paddy's Sick Note
with a unique (if not altogether convincing) 
"Irish" accent !


 		 Dave Symonds

Unaccompanied singer and guitarist -
Member of the notorious Thameside Mummers.

Martin's regular poems, and monologues at The Hoy
always bring a tear (of sadness or laughter)
from an appreciative audience
John Coppins

Long-standing club member,
great character, unaccompanied singer
with scores of interesting chorus songs -
many of them feature his other passion - railways !


 

 

 Kiti Theobald

Unrivalled repertoire of unaccompanied
traditional chorus songs and ballads.
Occasional MC.
One day she will finish the bedspread
she has been knitting since 1970 !
