Hello - please can you tell me if the festival has any indoor camping, pods, Yha or any other form of cheap accomodation nearby eg B&Bs ?but not outdoor camping  - also how to get to the festival by public transport - from Brighton - I could not see any headings for accomodation or travel on your site - have I missed them please ?

The nearest railway station to the Festival is Leigh on Sea, which can be reached from London on the Fenchurch St. Line.  It is only a short walk from the station to Old Leigh where most of Sunday's events take place and is referred to on on one of the maps shown on the website.

There are numerous B&Bs in the area but most of them are situated in Southend and Westcliff on Sea.  The only accommodation I am aware of in Leigh itself is
The Grand - http://www.pub-explorer.com/Essex/pub/grandhotelleighonsea.htm

The following link may lead you some alternatives

Workshop on 29th.June /Mat Martin and Kirsty McGee.
I should be grateful if you could provide me with information regarding the
above.  Do I need to book ? Do I need to take an instrument? TB.

Yes you should take an instrument and although you don't need to book, it would be useful to know in advance how many people would be attending the workshop sessions and Open Mic Competition.
